On the third day of the Wenchuan earthquake on May 15, 2008, a donation of 15 million yuan was made to the Wenchuan disaster area.

On April 8, 2009, during the Beichuan earthquake in Sichuan, a donation of 500000 yuan was made.

On April 14, 2010, during the Yushu earthquake, Zhang Jiahao personally flew to Yushu County, Qinghai Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and donated 13 million yuan in supplies.

In June 2013, he advocated the establishment of the Hui Shang Shan Foundation and was elected as the chairman. He collaborated with several entrepreneurs to donate 2 million yuan in cash to the foundation.

On January 24, 2014, led Qu Dan, Vice Chairman and Ambassador of the Hui Shang Charity Foundation, to donate 300000 yuan to the Changfeng County Social (Children's) Welfare Center. And announced that donations will be made to the welfare center every year in the future.
