U.S.-China Investment Promotion Association (USIPA) President Eric Chang was invited to lead a delegation to visit Zhangjiagang City.

On 8 June 2018, at the invitation of the government of Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province, Zhang Jiahao, President of US-China Investment Promotion Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Capital Management Group, accompanied by more than 20 entrepreneurs, including Shen Tian'ang, Vice President, and Peng Bin, Secretariat, went to Zhangjiagang for an investigation. Zhangjiagang City Mayor Huang Ji, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, the United Front Work Minister Wang Yafang, Deputy Mayor Li Zhaowei kindly received. Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary, United Front Work Minister Wang Yafang accompanied the inspection.

The delegation visited Zhangjiagang City Comprehensive Exhibition Hall to learn about the history and current situation of Zhangjiagang National Civilised City and industrial development. It also conducted a two-day inspection of cultural and tourism development projects such as Shuangshan Island Provincial Tourism Resort, Jinshazhou Base of Metallurgical Industrial Park and Phoenix Characteristic Town.

Subsequently, Li Zhaowei, deputy mayor, led the municipal government committees and offices and township leaders to exchange talks with the delegation.

President Zhang Jiahao said: US-China Investment Promotion Association (USCPA) is an international platform that brings together the world's top talents, advantageous capital and high-end projects. Zhangjiagang is located in the key of the economically developed region of Southern Jiangsu, with obvious advantages in the development of culture and tourism industry and huge potential in the future. Especially Shuangshandao Tourism Resort Project in the Yangtze River tourism development perspective of the resource advantage is outstanding, it is urgent to co-ordinate the operation of the overall development, to create Zhangjiagang jurisdiction of East China's shared cultural and tourism resorts. U.S.-China Investment Promotion Association will integrate the resources of industrial and commercial elites at home and abroad, united with the U.S. Metropolitan Capital Management Group, give full play to the international resources and financial advantages in the upgrading and development of culture and tourism, characteristics of the town construction, health care and pension and other areas with Zhangjiagang City to strengthen docking and cooperation for the cultural and tourism industry in Zhangjiagang, the development of the city's civilisation to provide a strong support and boost.
