Dr. Tunnai, Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy, announced that although there are currently many gas stations in Yangon Province, they still do not meet market demand.

Data shows that currently, there are 139 gas stations licensed by the Ministry of Electricity and Energy within the jurisdiction of the Yangon Municipal Council and 49 outside the jurisdiction. There are a total of 784999 registered vehicles of various types in Yangon Province, and with the addition of vehicles operated under other provincial licenses in Yangon, on average, each gas station needs to provide services for 4200 vehicles.
